Digital Efficient 101 | #001

Your only guide to become a digital efficient individual!

Hi, I’m Harsh. You know me or maybe don’t know me before this newsletter.

I’m a content creator, building TheHarshWise and helping normal individuals become digitally efficient.

While exploring the productivity, and self-help side I realised that not always all those tips and hacks work for everyone. Digging deep, I learned that we have learnt the wrong definition of productivity.

Productivity vs Efficiency

A little mathematics to understand Productivity :

No, it’s not that hard, I promise.

If a machine (yes, it is made for machines - not for humans) takes an input ‘y’ and it performs a function ‘f’, then it produces an output ‘f(y)‘ which is also called a Product.

Visual representation to understand :

Now, Productivity is the measure of how much output is produced with a given amount of inputs.

To maximise productivity, we either

  1. have to increase the amount of input.

  2. have to increase the amount of output.

  3. have to upgrade the machine (for humans, it’s very hard).

From the definition to applying this as humans, I hate this!

That’s why I prefer Efficiency.

Efficiency is the ability to do something well, without waste, and with the least amount of effort, time, energy, or money.

Have you heard of Hard Work and Smart Work?

By the definition, if you want to increase Productivity, you’ve to increase hard work.

But, Efficiency is a mix of Hard work and Smart work.

With the upcoming issues of Digital Efficient, I’ll be talking about all those things which will help you become efficient in this digital world.
